I’m Frustrated…Disappointed…Upset…Angry… Heavenly Father, I cannot understand why I have been inflicted by such a disease. The more I think about myself and possible causes, I am infuriated as well as disappointed that this has befallen me. I feel sorry for myself and angry that things are beyond my control. It appears that I have to take everything that comes. I find my blood pressure rising when I think of this unexpected interruption to me life. I’m upset that plans must change now. I’m angry at myself and at others. Please forgive me Lord. I realize I have put myself centre place. I have moved you from the centre of life because I keep thinking about myself while my anger intensifies. I know I have sinned against you. This sin is behind my disobedience. Forgive me Lord. Thank you for reminding me to give thanks in all circumstances and to know that your will is upon me. Help me to dissipate my anger before the sun goes down so that the evil one will not be able to do anything. Have mercy on me Lord. Help me Lord Jesus. Amen. Answer me when I call to you, O my righteous God. Give me relief from my distress, be merciful to me and hear my prayer. Psalm 4:1
I Wish I can Stay Calm As I come into your holy presence my Father in heaven, you know what fills my heart and emotions. Though I wish I can stay calm and composed, Lord you understand why it is impossible. My present condition is not only a cause of great concern to me and my family, it is giving me additional stress, hurt, fear and anger. My frustration seems overwhelming. My only option is to plead that you will settle me down - emotionally, mentally and physically. I am trying not to be anxious but to petition in prayer and thanksgiving as you taught us. But I am a weakling Lord. Teach me to call to you and have faith that you will answer. As I grasp on to your promises in my unhappy state of mind, please release from the bondage of anger. Free me, Lord Jesus. Merciful God, I pray in all honesty and humility. In your holy name, Amen. Cast your cares on the Lord, and he will sustain you, he will never let the righteous fall. Psalm 55:22
Give Me Patience… Gracious and loving Father, I thank you that even during this time of darkness and frustration in my life that you are there for me. I ask that you help me overcome my own feelings of inadequacy and weakness. Forgive me Lord for allowing my emotions to overwhelm me and cause unhappiness to the very people who are trying to help me. Open my eyes to see the way that you are leading me on. Open my ears to hear your word and your message for me. Open my heart to accept your will, for my life. I know you are with me and my anger will abate as I seek you Lord. Give me patience with people around me, so that with the help of the Holy Spirit, I can have more control over my emotions when relating to others. Most of all, give me patience with myself, so that I will not be weighed down by the anger I still have about my situation.
