Lord, please help me comprehend Heavenly Father, I thank you for prompting me to bring my disbelief before you. I am finding it hard to understand what has caused my illness and why. I have always been very careful with myself, my diet, my lifestyle and my habits, at least to the best of my knowledge. Although I dare not question you Lord, please help me comprehend. Show me what I should do. At this time when my family and I are disturbed and saddened because of my condition, give me strength to look up to you, my Lord and my saviour. Only you will understand my state of shock as I cry to you for help. Show me what I should do. Lord Jesus Christ, teach me to put my hope in you for healing, my God and my saviour. Please show me what I should do. In your most precious name I pray. Amen. The Lord gives strength to those who are weary. Even young people get tired, then stumble and fall. But those who trust the Lord will find new strength. They will be strong like eagles soaring upward in wings; they will walk and run without getting tired. I’m unable to settle down and concentrate Loving Father in heaven, it is with great difficulty that I come before your throne of grace and mercy. I cannot believe what I have been told about my condition. While I have not been exactly at the best of health, I did not realize that this illness has been brewing inside my body. Open my mind to understand what is happening even as I find it hard to believe that the disease has actually inflicted me. Lord Jesus, you know why I am unable to settle down and concentrate. You know that I am still trying to grapple with and digest the shocking news. I am still trying to rationalize my condition and what steps to take. Help me to overcome my uneasiness with everything around me and even with people who are trying to assist. God the Spirit, please come to guide and strengthen me so that the Father’s will be done. Thank you Lord that I belong to you. You are the only source of hope for my body, my soul and my spirit. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen. Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him. John 14:21
Lead me through the storm Dear Lord Jesus, you are my God and redeemer. Please help me live through this time. You know how shocked I still am; and how I continue to be confused in the midst of disbelief and doubt. I can only bring my sorrow to your feet Lord... Father God, please give me courage and strength as I invite the Holy Spirit to come into my heart and my life. Please lead me through the storm. Give me peace and spiritual strength to face the days ahead. I can only depend on you to heal me. In the precious name of Jesus Christ, Amen. The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul. Psalm 23:1-3
