To measure the body fat, skinfold callipers are used to assess the thickness of the adipose tissue occurs in subcutaneous areas in certain parts of the body.

For adult men, three areas - chest, abdomen and thigh are selected to measure the thickness of the adipose tissue while for women, triceps, thigh and supra-iliac are selected instead.

  • Fat-free weight = Your total weight - Your fat weight
  • Goal for fat-free mass = 100% - Percent of fat goal yo want to achieve
  • Body weight goal = Fat-free weight/Goal for fat-free mass
